Child Safety Standards

Our commitment

SeeWider is committed to protecting children and prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) anywhere on our service. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and for any content or behavior that endangers children.

These standards apply to everything users create and share on SeeWider, including boards, the people and relationships they map, uploaded images, and any names or notes attached to them.

What is prohibited

We prohibit, without exception: child sexual abuse material (CSAM); the sexualization of minors; grooming, solicitation, or enticement of a child; sextortion; trafficking; and any other content or conduct that sexually exploits or endangers a child.

Attempting to use SeeWider to store, share, or link to such material is a serious violation of these standards and of our Terms.

How to report a concern

Anyone can report a child-safety concern from within SeeWider. In the mobile app, open the menu on any board or person and choose "Report a safety concern", or use the same option in your profile settings. On a shared board opened in a web browser, use the "Report" action in the board header.

Each report opens a message to our safety team at [email protected] with the relevant context pre-filled. You can also email that address directly at any time. We review reports and act on them as quickly as we can.

How we act on reports

When we identify CSAE content or behavior, we remove the content, and we suspend or permanently terminate the accounts responsible. We may preserve relevant information as required to support reporting to authorities.

Reporting to authorities

SeeWider complies with applicable child-safety laws. Where we become aware of CSAM, we report it to the appropriate regional and national authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, where relevant, local law-enforcement or hotline bodies.

Age of users

SeeWider is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under that age to create an account. If you believe an underage person is using SeeWider, please contact us and we will act.
